Jakobhütte was originally built in 1989 by grandfather Jakob Reinisch for alpine farming and proudly bears his name. In 2009, the cabin was lovingly renovated and today combines the authentic charm of a traditional mountain cabin with modern comfort.
Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,550 metres, Jakobhütte enjoys a peaceful secluded location with breathtaking panoramic views across the Lavant Valley and all the way to the Koralpe mountain range. The cosy living area with its traditional tiled stove, the sunny terrace, the built-in barbecue, and the barrel sauna, newly added in 2026, make this cabin a truly special retreat for families and nature lovers.
Numerous hiking trails begin right outside the cabin, leading you through the unspoilt landscapes of the Saualpe. Jakobhütte is easily accessible by car and provides the perfect starting point for a relaxing holiday in the mountains of Carinthia.

How does the booking process work?
You can easily request or book your stay directly through our website. Once your reservation has been received, you will receive a confirmation with all the important details about your stay.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. The exact times will be confirmed in your booking confirmation.
How do we receive the keys?
Please contact Bettina at +43 664 88869547 no later than two days before your arrival so that all the details can be arranged in advance. On the day of arrival, you will be personally welcomed and accompanied to the mountain cabin.
Is the cabin accessible by car?
Yes. Mountain Cabin Jakobhütte is easily accessible by car, and free parking is available directly next to the cabin.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are welcome upon prior request. Please let us know when making your booking if you would like to bring your four-legged companion.
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Yes. Bed linen and towels can be booked for €16 per person. Please let us know in advance if you would like to add this service to your stay.
